1.25 "audreys"

my sophomore small group at harvest used to talk about how heavy they were in the unit "audreys" because i was 100 lbs.

we got to see steve chang when he was visiting taiwan last week and he brought back the "audreys" when i said i weigh about 125 now. he was like, "wow, that's 1.25 audreys!"

here's what 1.25 audreys looks like (week 32 of 40):

unable to sleep? me?!

if you know me, you know that i love sleep. "i love sleep" is an understatement...

if you know me, you also know that i can sleep in late. "sleep in late" is also an understatement...

usually on the weekends (if i don't have anything i need to do), i'll get up around 12... or 1... or 2... or maybe 4:30 (yes, PM). that's even if i go to sleep early!

anyway, it's 1 pm here now and i've been up for almost 4 hours! last night i went to sleep late (we were watching our TV shows over at the mckenzie's- our usual friday night tradition, until about 2). i went to sleep at 3 am, slept about 6 hours, and couldn't sleep anymore!

i guess it's weird not to sleep next to andy. he's gone on a school field trip for 4 days to kenting with the 9th graders. can't wait until he gets back. i miss my sleep. i mean, i miss him!

finally pregnant looking...

today was the first time someone on the bus actually got up to give me their seat. i guess i'm beginning to look pregnant and not fat. :)

Dressed like Mrs. Wu... Take 2

Sorry... I was so excited about Karen dressing up like me that I posted right away and it probably didn't make sense to most of you. So, here I go again.

Left: Here I am in one of my typical teaching outfits. I often wear this sweater and I used to wear the skirt (but it doesn't fit anymore. It's actually hurting me to wear it for the picture. haha).
Right: Karen.

Now does it make more sense?

Dressed like Mrs. Wu...

This week at school is Spirit Week. We've had Pajama Day, National Pride Day, Twin Day, and Student/Teacher Dress Switch Day.

Now, when they said Teacher/Student Dress Switch Day, I thought they meant that students dress up and teachers dress casual. But some people took it literally and dressed like certain people. Karen, who was my student 2 years ago, dressed like ME!

I actually didn't see her until the end of the day and she had already changed out of the skirt. When I talked to her, she said the pillow was in her locker. PILLOW?! I didn't hear about that! The kids here are so fun. :)
